Week THIRTY FIVE - August 24 to August 30

With this layout completed I AM CAUGHT UP!! WOOT WOOT!

I still need to print the pictures and cards for my actual book, but the hard part is DONE.  Now I can start finishing some layouts for Emily's book.

SO HAPPY.

Anywhoo... it was another busy week.  We have so much goodness in our lives I can hardly stand it.  So grateful.

Week THIRTY FOUR - August 17 to August 23

We returned home from our Yellowstone vacation on August 17th. We figured this would give us two days to rest before school started. Well we did have two days... but there was no resting involved.  It was a busy busy week!

WEEK THIRTY THREE - August 10 to August 16

Our family trip to Yellowstone was great for so many reasons:
1) Darren got a much needed break from work and we got some much needed time with him
2) We all got a chance to get to know Juliana better. Having long periods of time in the car really gave us time to talk and get to know her
3) We got to experience a beautiful part of the world and feel grateful for it
4) Juliana got to meet Aunt Robyn (and now knows why we lovingly call her "Saint Robyn".

It is really funny because we have been so worried about what to feed Juliana. She is very gracious and tries everything at least once and never makes a fuss about things she doesn't like.  On the way to Yellowstone, she told us that there are American restaurants in Brazil and they serve sandwiches and burgers and etc.  We realized we eat a LOT of what could be considered "sandwiches"... especially on this trip.  We had regular cold cut sandwiches true but didn't even think that the wraps we ate a couple of times really are a sandwich, as are taco's (Juliana said it's just a mexican sandwich. HAA).   Anyway she hasn't really hated anything but hasn't really LOVED anything either.... until she met up with Aunt Robyn.  Juliana has been here four weeks as of today and her favorite thing she's eaten so far is still Aunt Robyn's breakfast casserole and Aunt Robyn's cinnamon rolls.

Which leads me to believe that Aunt Robyn should be made an Ambassador for the United Nations.  She really could instill world peace.  I'm totally serious!

ANYWAY... we had a great time on our mini-vacation. The weather cooperated for the most part and we had a safe and fun journey.

The majority of the pictures are in the FLICKR album (see the post before this for the link) but here are our pages for the week for my album plus two inserts.

WEEK THIRTY TWO - August 3 to August 9

Juliana is here!

Her arrival has started a whirlwind of activity in our already pretty busy lives.

We have had a LOT of fun.  She really is so delightful. She has a funny sense of humor, is very polite, she loves books, she is willing to help, and she thinks we're all crazy. See? She knows us already.

Here is the layout of her first week.

I am trying to figure out how to add all the photos taken into a flickr album that her family can access without me posting them all here.  I put her first week into an album at
https://www.flickr.com/photos/98000721@N06/sets/72157646415555679/ but I don't know if just clicking on this will make it work.  I'll have to play with it and then I will finally get frustrated and will have to call Regina and get the instructions.

ANYWHO... here is the week of August 3 to August 9th or Juliana's first week in Utah.

WEEK THIRTY ONE - July 27 to August 2

I've had quite a time trying to get the pictures for this page set to upload.  After I finally got it to work, I just noticed the page backgrounds are different sizes.  Oh well... I'm not doing it over again.

I sure have a lot of pictures with "HOLD FOR" slots... don't people know they need to send me their pictures as I so nicely requested???
